WoundHeroes is a business & tech advisory team of healthcare veterans that helps post-acute facilities build advanced wound-care programs in-house. Is WoundHeroes a medical practice or a billing company?

No. We don’t treat patients or submit claims. All hands-on care is delivered by the clinicians you employ (or contract), and billing is handled by your coder or an outsourced RCM firm you select.

How does WoundHeroes differ from mobile woundcare Providers?

Outsourced Woundcare Provider Practices offer specialized staff to visit your premises, own the schedule, and keep all profit margins. WoundHeroes trains your staff, installs modern workflows, and introduces expert mentors only when requested—keeping both clinical decisions and financial upside in-house.

Does WoundHeroes vet or credential clinicians?

Credentialing stays with the facility. You engage your own licensed clinicians and verify their qualifications. WoundHeroes supplies training resources, workflow tools, and—when asked—introductions to independent up-skilling specialists.

WoundHeroes does not provide billing or compliance advisory services. We can introduce you to certified, experienced billing partners. These partners offer focused “wound-graft” training sessions or one-time coding assessments—complete with up-to-date code guides, modifier logic, and denial-appeal workflows—so your existing team can submit clean claims without hiring new staff.

Does WoundHeroes help with audits?

Audit readiness is your facility’s responsibility. If you need specialized review, we can connect you with vetted third-party audit and compliance experts familiar with wound-care billing requirements.

WoundHeroes never accesses PHI. You submit graft orders as anonymized lists (order number, graft sizes, brands), and manufacturers process everything via their HIPAA-compliant portals. We store only minimal transactional details (order status, shipping info) on secure servers—no patient data is ever transferred to us.

Certainly. Wound vac consoles, canisters, foam kits, and ancillary dressings are available at wholesale via the same ordering portal, simplifying inventory and invoicing.

How are product prices set and how are recalls managed?
